Daniel 3 (NIV)

Even though God sent his prophets many of the kings of Israel still did not obey God. The last king of Israel, who's name was Zedekiah, was also very wicked, so God allowed the enemies of Israel to capture him and take the people captive to a strange country called Babylon. Among those captives were some faithful followers of God. In The book of Daniel chapter 3 we learn about three faithful Israelites who would not bow down and worship an image that the king set up. This made the King very angry and he told them that if they did not worship the image they would be thrown into a blazing furnace.
