Escape to Egypt
Matthew 2:13,14 (NIV)
Joseph and Mary gave the new baby a special name. An angel appeared to Joseph in a
dream to tell him what to name the baby. Read Matthew 1:20 and fill in the blanks below to
see what the angel said.
"She (Mary) will give

Not everyone was
glad about the birth of Jesus.
When king Herod heard about it he tried to have Jesus killed.
The angel of the Lord appeared again to Joseph in a dream, this time to warn him.
