Some of Branson's Many Dining, Food & Restaurants

Dining in Branson, Missouri is a virtual treat with a wide variety of restaurant styles sure to suit your palate. With over 350 restaurants and over 32,000 seats you can enjoy gourmet delights, seemingly never ending buffets, international cuisine, mouth watering snacks and fast food specialties. From conventions to dinner for two, you are sure to find the culinary style just right for your special moments in Branson. Spectacular views and remarkable cuisine are the hallmark of the Branson dining experience. While we can't cover every restaurant in Branson, we would like to provide you with a sampling of Branson's cuisine choices.

Fine Dining:

Steak at the Backstage GrilleThe Plaza View Restaurant offers succulent dining with a breath-taking view of the city from atop the Branson Grand Plaza Hotel. They offer a wide variety of tasty entrées and appetizers to satisfy any appetite. Fine wines and cocktails are available to compliment your meal, or stop next door afterwards at the lounge and relax. $$-$$$
 

* The unique safari motif at Buckingham's Restaurant in the Palace Inn Hotel provides another opportunity to enjoy gourmet fare. $$$
 

Top of the Rock Restaurant features some of the best dining around, including wood-fired pizzas, fresh pasta specialties and grilled items. Couples can enjoy a romantic dinner while overlooking Table Rock Lake in an airy, comfortable room. $$-$$$
 

* Already known for its elegant presentation and exceptional cuisine, the Chateau Grille at Chateau on the Lake, with its stunning view of Table Rock Lake, serves a choice selection of culinary favorites. $$$

The Candlestick Inn sits high on a bluff with a grand view of Lake Taneycomo and the lights of downtown Branson. The restaurant specializes in steak and seafood, with particular emphasis on their prime rib, lobster tail and crab cakes. $$-$$$

Family Style Dining:
* Family style dining is found in Branson by nationally known name restaurants as well as Branson's own. Country Kitchen, Red Lobster, Denny's, Cracker Barrel, Ruby Tuesday's, The Olive Garden, IHOP and Shoney's are just some of the names you will recognize for their great food and service.McFarlains

McFarlain's Family Restaurant is a Branson exclusive, located in the IMAX Complex. It is warm hospitality, fun, and serves generous portions of "Ozark cookin' like it's spose ta be" for breakfast, lunch and dinner. $$

BTBones serves up great family food and fun in a Texas road house atmosphere that you and the kids will enjoy. Live music in the evenings adds to your dining experience. $$

The Farmhouse Restaurant in historic downtown Branson is known for its blueberry cobbler as well as its great meals. Break up your shopping by stopping in at the Farmhouse. $

* At The Hard Luck Diner in the Grand Village Shops you'll have breakfast, lunch or dinner served with a song from your singing wait staff. $

Buffets: One of Branson's grand traditions!
The Golden Corral serves mouth-watering breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets or menu selections of a great variety of fresh and expertly prepared foods. Their bakers are always on duty serving up fresh from the oven breads and desserts. $

The Stage Door Canteen at The Welk Resort Center has excellent food and great variety served in a nostalgic decor of WW II memorabilia. $$

* Stop by the Grand Country Buffet and enjoy the wide variety of dishes prepared for you. Diners can also enjoy the other activities taking place in the Grand Country Square such as performances at the 76 Music Hall, indoor mini-golf, and gift shops. $

Docker's Restaurant and Sports Bar provides a family style buffet and full menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their specialties are pan-fried chicken, catfish and hush puppies, seafood, and BBQ ribs. You will find them on Green Mountain drive just east of Hwy. 165. $$

Steakhouses:

* At Lone Star Steakhouse you will find an atmosphere of fun and excitement plus great steaks, succulent shrimp, scrumptious chicken and fabulous ribs. You will find Texas artifacts lining the walls and specially selected Country Music playing for your enjoyment, conveniently located behind the Grand Palace. $$

The Wooden Nickel Restaurant is well known locally for its prime cuts of steak, mouth watering prime rib and succulent BBQ ribs. Their copper and glass salad bar surrounds a large tree growing in the restaurant and leaves nothing to be desired. And don't forget dessert! They are located just west of the entrance to Silver Dollar City on Hwy.76. !$$-$$$

Seafood:

The Wooden Nickel has been mentioned before but their butterfly shrimp and lobster tails are the best you will find in the area. !$$-$$$
The Pasta Grill
 * While The Pasta Grill is famous for their Italian fare, their Shrimp Bianca  and other seafood dishes will melt in your mouth. $$

* Landry's Seafood Restaurant has long been a landmark for the finest in seafood in the area. $$$

The Rails offers a smorgasbord of delights at their buffet. $$

Whippersnappers at the Branson Towers Hotel and Docker's Restaurant also provide excellence in seafood dining. $$

Red Lobster is known all over the country for their wide variety of excellent seafood. $$

Barbeques:

Uncle Joe's BBQ is famous for its hickory smoked barbequed ribs, beef, pork and chicken. Before you even enter the restaurant, the aroma will have your mouth watering. $

* The Rib Crib slowly smokes their meats over apple fruit wood for up to 15 hours, leaving a slightly sweet taste; never too heavy and never too smoky. All sauces and marinades are prepared on the premises. $

Shorty Small's serves up the finest in BBQ ribs, pulled pork and brisket, BBQ chicken, steaks and sandwiches and the best Macho Nachos. $

Sadie's Sideboard & Smokehouse features their special menu of smokehouse barbeque, ribs, beef, chicken, plus their buffet. $$

Italian specialties:

The Pasta House on Green Mountain Drive has a full menu of fabulous Italian dishes, from pastas to steaks to seafood and more. Top it all off with one of their scrumptious desserts. $$

Rocky's Italian Restaurant is a popular place in downtown Branson serving a wonderful array of pasta dishes including Rocky's original Fettuccine Carbonara, Chicken Picatta, & Prime Rib. Don't forget the homemade cheesecakes. $$

The Olive Garden on 76 Blvd.

China GardenOriental:

The China Garden has both buffet and full menu selection for you to choose from. $$

The Hong Kong Buffet offers a large selection of taste-tempting treats at its lunch and dinner buffets and on its large menu of entrees for dine in or carry out. $$

Shogun Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar present Hibachi grilled food, steaks, and fresh sushi. $$

Mexican:

* Mexican fiestas are available at Casa Fuentes on the east end of "the Strip."

Gilley's Texas Cafe next to Mickey Gilley's Theatre serves up Tex-Mex specialties, chili, barbeque ribs, fajitas, and taco salad. $$

La Hacienda serves up your favorite fajitas, beef & chicken enchiladas, chimichangas, burritos, tamales and tacos. $

Pizza and Fast Food:

Need to grab a quick bite to sustain you on your Branson travels? Look no further than the next block as all of the famous chains of burgers, chicken, subs, and pizza are represented in Branson. In addition, you will find excellent alternatives at Branson's own fast food restaurants.

Theme Restaurants:

* Experience the 50's and 60's atmosphere at the Starlite Diner, the Uptown Cafe, and Jimmy Jet's Restaurant. They all serve mouth watering burgers and fries and have a full menu of your other favorites. You will also be entertained by some of your favorite tunes playing in the background. $

Theatre Dining:

Since dining is such an integral part of your Branson experience in addition to the shows and attractions, many Branson theatres have added delightful dining to their own venues. These restaurants are available in conjunction with your shows or just drop by for a memorable dining experience. Some of these are McFarlain's at the IMAX, Rafter's at the Hughes Brothers Celebrity Theatre, Gilley's Texas Cafe at the Mickey Gilley Theatre, The Stage Door Canteen at the Welk Theatre, and the Starlite Diner at the Starlite Theatre.

Dinner theatres: 

The Showboat Branson Belle: On the evening cruises the Steppin' Out Orchestra entertains with big band music while guests enjoy a prime rib dinner with all the trimmings, complete with a flaming Baked Alaska dessert.
Hughes Brothers Dinner Theatre
 * The Dixie Stampede serves a four course feast which includes chicken, pork loin, corn on the cob, seasoned potato wedges and more as you enjoy the pageantry, horsemanship and comedy of the show. 

The Hughes Brothers invite you to choose from one of their entree selections and dine at their candlelit tables prior to the show.

The White House Theatre - A 4 course dinner before the show is available to theatre patrons. Entrées includes steak, mesquite grilled chicken breast, beef tenderloin shrimp, lobster & shrimp and all the trimmings.

Buck Trent's Breakfast Show invites you to a sit-down, family-style breakfast at 8am at the Dinner Bell Restaurant.

The American Star treats you to a Champagne Brunch or American BBQ fare dinner while cruising on Table Rock Lake.

* Circle B Chuckwagon (formerly the Dinner Bell). You'll feast on an all-you-can-eat meal they serve your meal right to your table and the entertainment of their highly acclaimed Cowboy music show.
